Experience

• 8 years of full-time application development, including COBOL and Assembler in IBM MVS, VM, and DOS/VSE environments
• 4 years of tech support in an IBM MVS environment, including CICS, IMS, and a wide variety of hardware and software
• 5 years of management in large corporations, including managing projects in a tech support area, and managing instructors in a training group
• 15 years of running own companies
• 25 years of teaching experience, including course design and development, computer-based training development, and delivery of classes in the classroom, on video-tape, and via live satellite

Technical credentials

• IBM MVS environment: 35 years of experience, involving most major languages (COBOL, Assembler, PL/I), most software (CICS, IMS, DB2), TSO, JCL, hardware and software installs
• Windows: 15 years of experience in application development tools such as Visual Studio.NET, C#, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, ODBC and ADO
• Relational databases: 10 to 20 years of experience in DB2, Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, and Access, and the SQL language
• Web development, using ASP.NET and ASP, Microsoft Visual InterDev, VBScript and JavaScript
